Deliver Promises
It is vital that Navitas delivers their promises to the students. All documented commitements must be reviewed in a regular basis to ensure that each student has been provided with what was promised and keep the students informed as well.
The Navitas website alone has stated that Navitas provides "a peerless commitment to student experiences and outcomes". The ACS Professional Year Program includes a
- 32 weeks of coursework covering Australian work practice, WHS, business communications, job search skills and simulated workplace training. Coursework includes BSB40215 Certificate IV in Business
- 12 week internship
- Unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning for the duration of your enrolment in the program
- Free online PTE-A or IELTS English test preparation training
- Free professional development workshops and networking events
- The option to transfer between eight campuses*
- Ongoing career counselling; before and during the program and after graduation

As a past student at Navitas, I always wanted to be informed about the various resources that were provided by Navitas to the students, such as the free online IELTS and PTE preperation tests, unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning and even the process and status of the 12-weel internship. Although I was informed about these services through the website and even by email, I noticed that severla students were not aware of these services and tools. I feel if Navitas enforces a rule for the trainers to update the students during the first class, the students will be able to maximise their learning experience.
Clear Communication
Clear commuication applies to both verbal and written. All documented information on the Navitas website and application forms, must be clearly communicated to the student. These documents must be reviewed and updated in a regular manner. From my past experiences, I can say that there was clear communication in the classrooms including assessment tasks and other documents that were provided to the students. The trainer too ensured clear communication throughout the entire course and if the student was finding it difficult to understand the task at hand, it would be explained again until understood.
Innovate
Innotion is important for the educational development of the students. As mentioned before, Navitas gurantees a great student exprience. For this innovation will come a long way. At the moment Navitas is offering incentives to students. If the students refer a friend, they will get $500 dollars. Along with this Navitas also encourages an innovation culture, hired trainers with different perspectives, and created a collaboration space using the tool Zoom. I have personally experienced this, as I did my professional year program during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. The use of Zoom was the most innovating tool that was used by Navitas and it provided a great learning experience to the students with the use of it's features.
Embrace Change
Embracing change in the workplace as well the classrooms is vital especially for the year 2020. The work culture has been altered to a great extent after the coronavirus pandemic. With the restrictions applied across Australia, all Navitas teaching centres have been forced to teach online using the tool Zoom. This tool allows students to collaborate easily with the use of breakout rooms, share screen and recording features. As I mentioned before, Zoom was the most innovative tools used during my course. The breakout rooms allowed the students to collaborate without any distrubances and the share screen feature too was very helpful when explaining and understanding certain aspects of the assignments among the peers.
Respect
Respect is vital for any business or organisation to thrive. Navitas shows respect by celebrating, valuing and caring for the students and employees. During the course of the professional year program, I could easily say that there was respect among the trainer and students throughout the entire course. The two way communciations were clear. There was active participation, positive humour (no sarcasm used), corrective feedback was provided, the students growth was acknowledged, and appropriate words were used to difuse difficult situations.
Collaborate
Collaboration is vital among and students and the staff at Navitas Professional. Navitas uses various tools to allow collaboration tools such as Zoom, Canva, Google docs, etc. I personally found these tools to be easy to use. During my coursework, I made use of Google docs and slides for the group work and presentations. It was easy to collobate as Zoom allowed the use of breakout rooms and share screen features.
